I FELL FROM A HORSE. By Telegraph —Press Association. Reefton, Friday. An old resident named James Moore Crushington was found dead on Marine road last night. He was riding out to work, and it is supposed he fell off his horse aud was kicked. TIRED OF LIFE. Auckland, Last Night. An old woman named Eliza Thomas, 79 years of age, committed suicide by , taking carbolic acid at her residence At Wakefield street to-day. Deceased had bpen ailing for some and was nearly blind. She had often expressed a wish to die. STRYCHNINE POISONING. Wanganui, Last Night. William Bramford, aged 33, nightwatchman at the Wanganui railway station, died this morning from the effects of a dose of strychnine. After working all night, he returned home in the early morning, and worked about the house for a couple of hours. His sister-in-law then heard him fall in the bedroom, and found Bramford on the floor. He held out his hand, and said "Good-bye," to her. He told a neighthor, who was called in, that he had taken strychnine. He died before medical aid could reach him. No reason is known for the act.
