He stated his intention to play tennis again this year when the Englishmen and Americans come to New Zealand for the Davis cup. THE DANXEVIRKE TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. ; The tennis tournament concluded this evening, after three days' play. The championship results are:— Men's Singles—Parker defeated Fisher. o—4, o—o.
Ladies' Singles—Miss Nunncley beat Miss Travers, C—l, 6—4. Men's Doubles—Parker and Brown defeated Cox and Ebbett, C—4, o—2. Combined Doubles—Miss Travers and Fisher defeated Miss Nunneley and Brown, 6—o, 6—l. Ladies' Doubles—Misses Travers and Wellwood defeated Misses Nunncley and E. Williams, 3—6, 6—3, 6—2.
