TARADALE SHOOTING CASE

A REA'OLYER IN USE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. At the Police Court this morning, Alexander Straehan was charged that on the 18th of January at Taradale he did unlawfully discharge a revolver at Herbert Sydney Bradley with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Accused was arrested yesterday afternoon. Sergeant Cruicksliank applied for and was granted a remand until Monday next, as the alleged offence only took place hist evening, and the police had not had an opportunity of preparing any evidence in connection with the charge. The alleged offence is supposed to have been committed on the main road at Taradale. It is stated that two shots were fired at close range, and that a bullet was subsequently found in a bag which Bradley was carrying.
