CONSIDER THE LILIES.
To the Editor. Sir,—Owing to the publicity which both the News and the Herald were goou enough to give to my letter addressed to the Borough Council with reference to the destruction of flowers in Ridge Lane, there has been quite a number of visitors to inspect the agapanthus lilies, and I have had a good many enquires from people who think of coming up to see tltem. The bwt view of the mass of bloom is to be had from a point westward of the lane, and if visitors will go through the small white gate ("Lilydale") alongside my stable, the path leads to a spot from which a good outjook is obtained. The best time to see the flowers is in the afternoon, when the sun is on them.—l am, etc., F. P. OORKILL.
P.S.—The public arc welcome to visit "Fern Dell" as well as -Lilydale" on Thursday and Sunday afternoon, provided children are kep't under control.
