LOSS OF THE WARATAH
ENQUIRY AGAIN ADJOURNED.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 17.
The depositions of dock ami shipping oflieials at Adelaide .were read at the Waratali enquiry, and showed that the Waratah was seaworthy, and that her cargo was properly stowed. McDiarmid, a pilot, regarded the Waratali as a tender ship, but not to the extent of being unseaworthy. She had more tophamper than usual for her trim.
The depositions of Durban witnesses showed that the vessel was upright when she left there. There was nothing to indicate that she was topheavy.
A precis of the report of the Sabine's search was read, and the enquiry then adjourned for the thirtieth time.
