FROZEN MEAT TRADE
ADMISSION TO THE CONTINENT.

The following items are supplied by the Commonwealth cable service:—At the conference at Berne the question of the admission to Switzerland of Argentine frozen meat was discussed, and as the result it is expected the Federal Council will recommend its immediate admission, and that regulations will require the whole carcases to be shipped. A second shipment of 650 tons of Argentine meat has been landed at Trieste. The co-operative societies at Vienna secured M 5,000 kilos at a price of 1.25 kroner per kilo (o'/.d per lb). This includes all charges landed in Vienna. Tt is understood that the Austrian Government will grant a special concession to the Argentine with regard to the importation of parts of beasts.
