Prince Hetty of Cooch ■Beliar, another member, has played for Somerset. The team will be stronger in bowling and fielding than in batting.
Phenomenal scoring characterised the match North v. South, played on the Tasnianiaii Association's ground on December 27 and 28. The Northerners were disposed of on an excellent wicket for 07 runs. The first wicket of the Northerners fell at 10, but the Hudson-Hawson partnership lasted 3 hours 40 minutes, "and yielded 348 runs—a record. Eltham played out time with llawson, the score at the close of the day being 451 runs for two wickets—Hawson 238 not out, Hudson 167. Pervious to Hawson's 238 the Tttsmanian individual record w,as IS7, e»tablished in 1893 by C. J. Eady. The innings was declared closed, and the Northerners were dismissed a second time for 203.
