CIIRISTCIIUUCII WOOL SALE. lly Telegraph.—Press Association. ChrlLchureli, Thursday. At the third wool sale held to-day 10,77S bales were offered. There was a good attendance, but the sale was disappointing, and prices were easier than at earlier auctions. There was good demand for merino, but other classes showed a decided drop all round. The following is the range of prices, last December's figures being given in parentheses:—ilerino, 7d to ll%d (B'/4d to 13d); half-breds, 7d to 12y,;d (7>/ 2 d to 13Vbd); throequarter-breds. 7d to 9%<l (7%d to ll : ;' 4 d); cross-breds, G% to <)Vad (7>/,d to lid); longwool, Gd to Ocl (liViid to- lO'/iil); Corriedale, 9%d to lO'/id (Sy 4 d to 13'/ 2 d); Down wool, 8d to B'/ 4 d (Sy 4 d to ny.d).
L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S RETORT. Messrs Nolan and Co. report for week ending 11th inst.:— Poultry.—On Saturday we had a good entry of young stuff, table birds being scarce. We quote: liens (poor) Is 4d to lis ihl; cockerels, to Is !Jd; chickens, 4d to lid; roosters, Is 9d to Is lid; ducklings, lid to Is 4d; ducks, Is 7d; Muscovy duck-', us 3d pair. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—On Saturday last we had a heavy entry of all classes. Prices, as expected, were low, though some good pens brought prices. Prices were as follow:—Hens, old. Is 3d to Is 7d; good, 2s; e0,,..re15, Is Od to Is lOd; small, Hid to i„ Id; chicks, 4d to 7il; ducklings, lOd to Is; ducks, Is 3d to Is Sd; Pekin drake, 3s 3d. Fruit.—This has been in good supply during the week. Advices have just been received of particularly heavy shipments arriving on the 12th and 13th, so that next week we will be able to report a still further dcolh.d in prices. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable advice from their London house dated 10th inst.: ''The list of arrival* is closed, and all your wools have arrived in time.
