THE NORTHERN TOURNAMENT. END OF SECTION PLAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Northern Bowling Association's annual tournament was continued today in perfect weather. The section play in the full rink match was completed, and has resulted in an unusual number of section ties, only four of the twelve sections being won outright. In the A section, Mcintosh (Onehunga) won with seven wins.
In B section, Trcvetliick (Hutt), Rankin (Wanganui), Parata (Thorndon), and Sneddon (Carlton), tied with five wins and two losses each.
In C section, Ilueston (Victoria) ana Pickering (Palmerston North) tied with six wins and one loss each.
D section. —Ballinger (Wellington), Ramsay (Newton), and Beatson (Hastings) tied with five wins and two losses each.
E section. —Mason (I'ihama) and Paterson (Remuera) tied with six wins and one loss.
F section. —Jackson (Stratford) and Dingle (Auckland) tied with five wins and two losses each.
G section—Prince (Newton), Crowley (Grecnmcadows), and Eagleton (Epsom) tied with five wins and two losses each.
H section. —Veale (Ponsonby) won with seven wins.
J section.—Martin (Rocky Nook), Norwood (Victoria), Ponsford (Gisborne), Bull (Napier), Jackman (Thorndon), and W. Pragnell (Masterton) tied with four wins and three losses each.
Iv section.—Parsons (Ponsonby) won with six wins and one loss.
L section.—Gardiner (Ponsonby), Wylie (Newtown), and Perry (Masterton) tied with five wins and two losses,
M section. —Dingwall (Kemuera) won with seven wins.
The positions of the other teams at the end of the section play as as follows:—
A section.—Foy (Ilawera), live win: and two losses.
B section. —Loekhead (Feilding), three wins and four losses.
C section.—Robertson (Ilawera), foui wins and three losses; Lawrie (Napier), and Lusher (Manaia), one win and five losses.
D section.—Dudley (Opunake), foui wins and three losses; Benefield (Wanganui), one win and six losses.
E section. —Masson (Carterton), foui wins and three losses; White (Hastings), two wins and five losses; Williams (Patea), one win and six losses.
F section. —0. Pragnalt (Masterton), Nash (Palmerston North), and Gordon (St, John's), four wins and three losses. O section.—Sangster (Stratford), four wins and throe losses; Stewart (Feilding), three wins mid four losses.
H section— Kecsing (Wanganui), four wins and three losses; Webster (Greytown), two wins and five losses; Witty (Gisborne), 110 wins, seven losses. J section.—Lomax (Maitai), three wins and four losses.
K section.—Eure-(Gisborne), two wins and five losses.
L section.—Carman (Eltliam), two wins and five losses; Craig (Gisborne), one win and five losses.
M section—Fisher (Carterton), six ,J wins and one loss; Greig (Gisborne), 11 four wins and three losses; King (Hast- ■ ings), Clark (Dannevirke), two wins and five losses; Griggs (Palmerston North), ' Benton (Featherston), one win and six losses. The pairs match of 24 sections commenced to-day. SUGGESTED AMALGAMATION.
, Auckland, Last Night. A meeting of delegates from the clubs afliliated to the Northern Bowling Association of New Zealand was held tonight for the purpose of considering the proposed new rules and constitution of the association. On the motion of the president, Mr. N. Elliott, it was decided to inform the council that the meeting approved of the proposed new rules and constitution. It was decided that steps be taken to approach the New Zealand Rowling Association with a view to forming a council for the government of howling in the Dominion.
