AN INVOLVED WILL CASE

TRUSTEES DISAGREE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. An involved will case was before Mr. Justice Edwards in chambers to-day, as the outcome of a disagreement between the trustees in the estate bequeathed by the late Elizabeth Knott, of Auckland, to certain charities. Mr. A. Clements, who did not agree with his cotrustees, Messrs. T. Buddie and F. G. Clayton, filed a petition praying that the estate be administered by the Public Trustee. For a while the trustees agreed, but a deadlock occurred, and £20,000 bequeathed to the Home for Incurables, with £IO,OOO, part of the residue of the estate, was lying in the bank current account. At the hearing, each party blamed the other for the trouble. The Judge adjourned the application sine die, but ordered that the money in the bank be placed on fixed deposit for six months.
