Myers, M.P., as to the position oi officers receiving appointments under the new defence scheme who were receiving .higher salaries under the old system, the Prime Minister states that they will have to submit to reductions. That is the position, speaking generally, but Sir Joseph Ward will go into the question carefully before giving a final decision.
