The tote investments fqjr the three days totalled- £37,259, an increase of £4564 over last summer meeting. Bookmakers' fees over the three days totalled £B6O. A feature of the meeting was the splendid starting of the club's new starter, Mr. R. H. Skipwith. Results:—

Auckland, Last Night. At the conclusion of the Pony Cup at the Trotting Club's races, the crowd of several thousand surged over the course 'and demonstrated against the starting, only three horses out of thirteen getting away. Mounted police and constables repeatedly made efforts to clear the course, but at the end of an hour all attempts to restore order had 'failed, and the progress of the races was completely stopped. Additional police were sent for.
