'PRODUCE EXPORTS. By Telegraph*—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. The value of the principal products exported from the Dominion for the half-month of Decenmber 1 to 15 was £1,090,624, compared with £902,842 for the corresponding period of last year. The values of the various commodities were:—Butter £165,302, cheese £73,622, beef (frozen) £10,892, mutton (frozen, carcases) £38,282, mutton (frozen, legs and pieces) £lOl9, lamb (frozen) £18,691, wheat £18,249, oats £562, potatoes £65, hemp £13,090, rabbits £9373, tow £1738, kauri gum £4741, grain and pulse £BO, hops £378, hides £3532, skins (all kinds) £40,699, tallow £16,508, timber £21,722, wool £549,745, gold £102,334.
DIVORCE COURT. Wellington, Friday. The Chief Justice to-day granted a decree nisi in the case of Mary Louisa Hartnell v. Walter Chas. Hartnell, a petition for divorce on the grounds of misconduct. A BANKRUPT'S BUSINESS. Wellington, Friday. Jack Vinegard, the draper bankrupt, who disappeared recently, before leaving sold £240 worth of stock and chattels to his brother Abraham. The Assignee alleged that it was a fraudulent sale, and asked that it be set aside. The Chief Justice, giving his reserved decision, said that Abraham must have known his brother was about to qui* New Zealand, and Jack must have sold the business to defeat his creditors. A CURIOUS POSITION. Christchurch, Friday. A curious position was revealed at the meeting of the creditors in the estate of C. A. Cross, general outfitter, Lyttelton. Bankrupt stated that he had been unable to meet a bill, and decided to •file in order to give all creditors an equal chance. He stated his debts to unsecured creditors at £lls and his assets at £125; The Official Assignee said Cross did not know his true position. His stock alone was worth over £2OO and book debts £l7O, and the estate would pay £2 or £3 in the pound.
