FROZEN MEAT TRADE
IMPORT DUTY REDUCED IN SIWTZERLAND. By Gable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 23, 9.45 p.m. Berne, December 23. During the debate on Argentine or Australian meat the Government announced that in March, 191:1, they intended reducing the import duty to 10 francs per hundred kilogrammes. Probably an expert will examine the London import methods. [The reduced tax will be approximately 4s 2d per cwt. A kilogramme is equal to 2 1-5 lbs. avoirdupois.]
