The Western Union Cable Company unconditionally guarantees 3% per cent, interest on £7,000,000, the capital of the Anglo-American Company, in perpetuity. Nothing is said regarding the division of surplus profits, which, it is believed, will go to the American partner. The Times states that Mr. Buxton, President of the Board of Trade, has arranged with the Chief Atlantic companies for deferred cablegrams in plain language at sixpence a word. The consent of Germany and France, it is anticipated, will be obtained without difficulty.
