Mr. Hughes, reviewing the trouble which has arisen over the High Court decision in connection with Seamen's Compensation Act, considers the proposed .amendments to the Federal constitution will cure the defects which the Court decided exist in Commonwealth legislation of this nature. MEMBERS' SALARIES TO BE RAISED. Sydney, December 21. There are indications that a Bill will be introduced in the Assembly next session raising members' salaries to £SOO.
