BRIDGES AND RAILWAYS DAMAGED. By Cable— Press Association—Copyright. London, December 18. A landslip at Aberdare covered the railway and severed the Rhymey Water Company's main supplying several towns and villages. The damage caused at Ilfracombe by the storm amounts to £15,000. A dam at Newport burst, flooding the new dock works. The lighthouse at Porthcawl was demolished by the gale. The railway between Chepstow and Portskewit, and also portion of the Taunton to Minehead line was destroyed. A new bridge at Llangollen was demolished.
