Received 18, 5.5 p.m. i Sydney, December 17. Northern Districts lost seven wickets for 127. Edgar, 44 not out, was the chief scorer. South Africans in their first innings made 253; the chief scorers being Nourse 88, Sinclair 58, Pearse 31, Faulkner 26. Northern Districts' second innings score was 175. Edigar 60 not out, Ripon 17, McQeare 17, were the chief scorers. South i Africa, in the second innings, lost five wickets for 98, and won by five wickets. Faulkner 49 not out, was the chief scorer. Morley bowled well in the match, getting four for 93, McNam&rai four for 70, Ebsworth one for 29, Mathieson one for 20; Faucett two for 20.

QUEENSLAND v. VICTORIA. Received. IS, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, December 17. Victoria, in their first innings made 273. Kenny 124 not out, Seitz 59, and Delves 21, were the chief scorers. Queensland in the second innings, lost nine wickets for 194. The chief scorers were Marshall 06, Hutcheon 73, MacLaren 25. Parsons was the best bowler, with an average ,of four for 54.
