Prices , realised as follows:—Ducklings small, 6d to Ud; good, Is lid to 2s lOd; ducks, to 2s 8d; hens old, Is 4d to Is 7d; good, 2s to 2s 8d; turkeys, goblers up to 10s; turkeys, hens up to 6s 6d; cockerels, Is lOd to 2s 6d; geese, 3s 3d ! to 4s; pair bantams, 3s 9d; chicks, 3d to 7d. Fruit.—This is arriving in large quan- ! tities at present. Fiji bananas were in I small supply, and consequently realised » very high prices. Cherry plums have ( ( been arriving-in large quantities. New shipments of Raratonga bananas are due ' on Friday or Monday, and are expected ! to reach a good market. First shipments of peaches, apricots, and grapes are arriving on Friday morning. Furniture.—On Tuesday and Wednesday we held clearing sales of furniture , at the residences of Mrs. Whdtcombe and Brown respectively, when satisfac- . Tory prices were obtained. On Thursday, at Lepperton, we had, despite the weather, a good attendance of the public, and Mr. A. B. Waldie's live stock and implements were disposed of with the .following results: Springing cows, £11; cows in milk (young), £7 2s 6d to £l2 7.s 6d; older, £5 to £0 17s Gd; heifers, £4 10s to £0 10s; Jersey bulls, £3 5s to £4 ss. Sundries and implements sold well.
