AN UNKNOWN WOMAN
Palmerston N.. Last Night.
An elderly woman named O'Brien was found lying seriously ill in Grey street this evening, and was removed to the hospital. Her identity is not known, though it is believed she hails from Feilding.
Our Kent Road correspondent writes: An accident occurred between the Kent Road and the Mangorei factory on Friday last. Mr. Alf. Richards was driving on the Albert Road creamery, cart, when the horse shied at some cyclists. The horse turned quickly round, which caused the cart to capsize, and one of the cans struck Mr. Richards on the the back; Fortunately Mr. Laird was near by, and saw what had happened, and rendered valuable assistance. Soon several others were on the scene. MrRichards was carried into Mr. Let}ibridge's, and it was found he was suffering considerably from shock, but lie was able in the afternoon to be taken home, and I hear he is progressing favorably towards recovery. It was a mar: vel that* the accident was not more serious, for he might have been pinned under the cart.
