Mr. Ames, of Montreal, who acted as one of the Canadian delegates to the Imperial Chambers of Commerce Congress, held at Sydney, will move in the Canadian Parliament that it is highly desirable there should be consummated between Canada and' Australia an arrangement whereby preferential treatment shall be accorded to the products of each other in the markets; that members of the Canadian Government who may attend the Imperial Conference be instructed to endeavor to confer with the Australian delegates towards bringing about such an arrangement.
