HIGH SCHOOL CADETS
IN CAMP.
Yesterday the High School cadets' camp was officially visited by the Board of Governors, there being present, Messrs. MacDiarmid, Dockrill, Smith, and Wilson. The Principal (Mr. Pridham) was also out at the camp, while a number of ladies graced the proceedings with their presence. ■ The work of the cadita in spuad drill, rifle exercises, and skirmishing was watched with interest, the visitorsexpressng themselves as highly delighted at the neat appearance of the boys, with their promptness at the word ot command, and on the general excellence of all their movements.
Staff Sergeant-Major Sanderson and Major Sandford judged the work of the various squads, giving points for ap* pearance, rifle exercise, word of command, and skirmishing. The result was as follows: Lusk's section 47 points, Whitton's 44, Gobs' 43, and' Martin's 42. In announcing the result, Major Sandford complimented the corps on its very, creditable performance, and particularly mentioned the section commanders for their word of\command, the "maximum number of points having been awarded in each case. .
A sports ' programme was carried through afterwards, the prizes for which were provided by members' of the Board' and the public.
