LABOR LEGISLATION

NEW SOUTH WALES PROPOSALS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, December 13. The Minister of Education states that all existing industrial legislation will be repealed and replaced by one comprehensive measure. Wage boards will, be maintained', but will be auxiliary to the Arbitration Court. ' In the case of well defined trades the wages fixed outside will be enforced in Government establishments. The Government would frame a new Bill for the settlement of disputes, which would be as nearly perfect as possible. It is proposed to give the Arbitration Court power to do anything it chooses to settle disputes. If one Court is unable to cope with the work, others will be appointed.' The Government would reorganise the schedules so as to include every possible trade. The Coercion Act would be wiped out.
