The census reveals that females in France outnumber the males by 654,211. RELIEF OF WINE-GROWERS. Received 13, 11 p.m. Paris, December 13. The Chamber of Deputies voted five million francs for ths relief of winegrowers who suffered damages by bad weather. LAWN TENNIS. Received 13, 11 p.m. London, December 13. The suggestion of the Tennis Association in favor of annual matches between America and Great Britain, independent of the Davis Cup, has been referred to the International Match Committee. TRADE DISPUTES. Received 13, 11 p.m. London, December 13. The Socialist Annual states that in trades disputes last year 11 per cent, of workpeople involved won their strikes, 22 per cent, lost, and 65 per cent, compromised.
