SUPREME COURT.
A PERJURY CHARGE.

At the Supreme Court sitting to-day, before Mr. Justice Chapman, the Grand Jury is still considering the perjury charge against Constable Martin, of Otira, in Connection with the licensing prosecution of Moynihan, proprietor of Otira accommodation house.

At the Supreme Court to-day, Henry Pollock, in whose case the jury failed to agree at the recent criminal sittings, was acquitted on a charge of attempting to commit an unnatural offence, and a charge of indecent assault. On a charge of receiving stolen property he was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. Joseph Living, who pleaded guilty in the lower court to a charge of theft of a watch, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
