The local wharf laborers, following the example set by the lumpers at Adelaide, refused to unload the sugar cargo of the steamer Gracchus. A MYSTERIOUS DEATH. Received 10, 1.10 a.m. Melbourne, December 9. A powerfully built man. found on the steps at Princes Bridge, died without regaining consciousness. His injuries are supposed to be the result of a fall. A wallet hearing the name "R. J. Price," and a first-class ticket from Wellington to Sydney in the same name are included in'his belongings.
