Also ran: Vibration, Longwood, Leahora, Turna, Merrie Time, Embrocation. When two furionga had been negotiated Leahora stumbled and fell, and brought down Vibration, Merry Frank, and Embrocation. Lord Possible was in the lead, which he maintained to the finish, and he won by a neck. Time, lmin 6 4-ssec. Second Hurdles —Eiya 1, Captain 2, Millepial 3. Also started: Appin, Chase Mab, The Spaniard, Seaworthy, All Trumps. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 50 l-ssec.
Ruahine Welter—The Rover 1, San Lass 2, Allurement 3. Also ran: Patrobus, Composed, Contour, Kilsyth, Rangikapua, Stevens, Te Whetu, Prince Hassan. Won by two lengths. Time lmin 29 4-ssec.
Summer Handicap —Hoghden 1, Goodwin Park 2, Mataari 3. Also started: Moloch, Notorious, Separator, Splash, First Battery. Won by two lengths. Notorious, who was in the leading division and running well, broke his fetlock, and Moloch at the same time broke a blood vessel. Notorious had to be destroyed. Time, lmin 58 l-ssec. Telegraph Hack —Deploy 1, Magneta 2, Lady Moutoa 3. Also ran: British Maid, Rongomai, Kiltie Lass, Ultimatum. Won easily by three 'lengths. Time, lmin 0 4-ssec.
