A cable despatched by the directors of the BulLnch mine to the London office states that during the week seventy tons of ore were baggsd, worth twenty-two ounces per ton. Samples from other prospecting places went over six ounces. In connection with the Chaffinch mine reports, the Minister of Mines proposes to legislate to give the Government power to enter mines and take samples, go as to prevent any chance of the public being misled.
