THE FIRST SHOW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. The first show of the National" Sweet Pea Association of New Zealand was.held here to-day, and there was a very fine collection. Among the prize-winners were Holder (Porirua), Goring-Johnston (Palmerston), Dr. Douglas (Hamilton), Goldsmith (Levin), and Mrs. Brown Clayton (Auckland). At tlw annual meeting in the evening Mr., Goring-Johnston was elected president, and Dr. Carberry (Stratford) and Mr. Fox vice-presidents; with a committee of nine. It was decided to hold the next show in Palmerston North in the first week of December, 1911.
