As the result of conflicting statements, Mr. DegruC a prominent metallurgist, has been appointed to examine and report upon the Chaffinch mine. The Minister of Mines, replying to the request of the various stock exchanges for a departmental examination of the property, declared that, as there has been no development, investigation is unnecessary. t Besides, many reputable experts are available to" furnish reliable reports.
