And there is every reason why 'they should. Entries have been coming in in large numbers, and the total will exceed 1500—a remarkable quantity for 'the initial show of a society. It speaks well for •the enthusiasm and go of those who are taking the lead, and indicates clearly ■that the Sratford A. and P. Slww is to be one of the events of the coast. Cattle and horses are particularly strong classes. The second competition for the Xobel Ballistite Cup was fired yesterday, by the members of the Stratford Can Club. Mr. 11. Campbell carrying off the honors. Mr. T. M. Marlow, assistant Clerk of the Court here, is relieving the Clerk of tihe Court at liawera for a few days. The Rev. Father Treacy is expected back in Stratford on Monday. Mr. Frank Anlen has been reappointed Inspector of Noxious Weeds for this district. In tihe cricket match between the Eltham and Stratford clubs yesterday the former won bv 05 runs, the scores being 92 against 157. Tihe Straitiord Lawn Tennis Club defeated Eltham yesterday by 151 games to 105.
