In the Assembly the Government proposal to make an allowance to the Governor for travelling expenses, was defeated bv 13 votes to 10, two Ministerialists voting against the motion. Many Ministerialists were absent. THE FEDERAL CAPITAL SITE. Received 3, 12.40 a.m. Sydney, December 2. The State Government has given the Federal Government ten square miles at Jervois Bay in with the capital site territory, instead of one mile as stipulated in the Act.
