THE NELSON SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Xelson, Last Night. The Supreme Court session opened today before the Chief Justice, who congratulated the district on the absence of serious crime. Wi Waaka, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault, was admitted to probation; Jas. Harris, for failing to keep proper books, and obtaining goods by false representation, was acquitted on the first count, and on the second convicted and admitted to probation; John William Ferguson, found guilty of perjury, with a strong recommendation to mercy, was similarly dealt with.
