UEEXUI. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Town Hall Trustees held a meeting last Saturday. Present: Messrs G. Bertrand (in the* chair), C. X. Rowe, C. I. Wilson, and P. W. Fuller. The chairman reported that for .the twelve months ending Xovember 18, the receipts had boon £4S Is, and the expenditure .-£ls 16s. The bazaar held in May last was responsible for £3l Gs of the receipts. A vote of thanks was passed to the ladies who had worked so hard to secure such results from the bazaar, which added so materially to the Town Hall funds. Accounts amounting to £8 Ids 3d were passed for payment. The chairman re-' ported that after the passing of accounts the overdraft at date would be £2B lis sd. lie congratulated the trustees on the excellent financial position they were in. West's Entertainers performed to a very fair house in the Town Hal] on the 28th ult. Our Tennis Club seems rather backward starting this season. They should get a move on. The late rains have provided an abundance of grass, and the country is now looking its best here. Some party or parties have been cutting green trees in our cemetery. It is hoped the Board will find out the miscreants and prosecute them. Surely they might leave "God's Acre" alone.
