Feilding, Last Night. For the first day of the Feilding races the racing was good and the track fast. Results:—■
Flying Stakes.—Full Rate 1, Tenterhook 2, Mulga Bill 3. Also started: Equitas, Irish Rifle, Faunus, True Shot, Emblem, Mon Ami, Tanekaha, Lady Mensehikoff, Gold Battery, Thetis. From a bad start Full Rate jumped away and won bv a length, Tenterhook a good second. Time, lmin lasec.
Aorangi Hack Welter—True Knight 1, Kilasteri 2, Kauroa 3. Also started: Idealism, Patrobus, San Lass, Sir Solo, Mortite, Plantation, Floater, Julian, Nesterine, Eva, Rangiora. At the distance True Knight came away, winning by a length and a half. Time, lmin 30 1-osec. St. Andrew's Handicap—Birkdale 1, Sandstream 2, John 3. Also started: Roosevelt, Clemora, Uhlando, Teotane, Strathmoira, Mallet. Birkdale Avon by a clear length, and Sandstream beat John on the post for second place. Time, 2min 3!) 2-ssec.
