Madag Remonrla, a kiosk-keeper, had divorced her husband Gregorio, who had been imprisoned for ill-treating his wife. While returning home from her daily work she was shot in the l>a?k by Gregorio, fell to the ground, but immediately rose to her knees and, drawing a revolver, returned her assnilant's fire.. Each of the duellists fired five shots. Gregorio was shot in the head, the wound proving fatal. The woman received three wounds.
