THE AMATEUR ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday.
The council of the New Zealand Ama- j teur Athletic Asoeiation held its annual meeting' last evening. The president ('Mr. A. Marryatt), in moving the adoption of the report, said the council should consider if it could arrange for a visit this year of a team of American or Old Country athletes, or else endeavour to bring Wheatley and Davis, over. During the year the council would have to consider the question of representation at the Olympic Games at Stockholm an 1912, also matters in connection with the Australasian championship I meeting, to be held in New Zealand in 1 1911 or early in 1912. The following officers were elected: President, A., 'Marryatt; vice-presidents, E. L. Chaffey 1 I and W. F. Larkin; lion, secretary and treasurer, W. G. Talbot; hon. auditor, , C. D. Morpeth.
