THE TARANAKI SHOW.

THE ENTRIES. The entries for the Taranaki Agricultural Society's annual show,, as will be seen by the following table, have come in remarkably well. The following is a comparison of last year's and the present list:— ' 1909 1910 Cattle 190 198 Horses 328 ' 300 S'heep 42 81 Pigs 18 . 20 Dogs 88 60 666 659 The dairy produce section is particularly healthy in those classes not affected as the result of factories manufacturing saltless butter, as referred to in yesterday's issue. As may be gathered, the management are highly gratified at the result. In regard to other matters, also, they have cause for congratulation. Every inch of space available for side-shows, firms' displays, etc., has been booked, and the committee is finding it no easy matter to make the accommodation meet the requirements. The Society has arranged a very suitable train in the interests of the exhibitors. It is timed to arrive in New Plymouth at 1.00 p.m. to-day, and owners will thus be enabled to have their stock cleared and paddocked in good time in the afternoon.
