Strikers at Gilfachgoeh thrashed carpenters who were erecting a shed for the Munster Fusiliers, believing the carpenters had been imported from Stoke. Twenty-seven thousand anthracite miners refused the Aberdare deputation's request for a general strike in the Aberdare district The education authorities have exhausted the funds available under the Provision of Meals Act, and appeal for funds to prevent three thousand children suffering terrible privations in bitter weather.
Mr. Keir Hardie, at Huddersfield, stated that the miners in South Walts got the enginemen and stokers to come out because they knew the mines would fill with water, and the owners would then want a settlement. It was true that the Labor-Socialist party was responsible for the labor unrest. OFFICIALS HEAVILY STONED. London, November 27.
