THE TIDE OF IMMIGRATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. There are 196 assisted passengers (159 adults and 37 children) on board the Tainui. Of these 64 (37 adults and 27 children) were nominated by relatives in New Zealand, and the remaining 132, of whom 122 are adults, were approved by the High Commissioner. The assisted passengers include six farmers, 21 farm laborers, 8 cooks, one ploughman, and 8 women coming to join their husbands. One man has a capital of £3OOO, and some of the other assisted passengers are also bringing substantial (amounts. . DIVORCE COURT. Wellington, Saturday. In the Divorce Court a decree nisi was granted in the case Elizabeth Alexandra M'lntosh against John M'lntosh, of Huntly, on the ground of desertion.
