ROUSING WELCOME AT PERTH. By Gable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 25, 8.55 p.m. Perth, November 25. The Commonwealth destroyers' crews were accorded a rousing welcome at a great gathering, including the Ministers of the Crown and leading citizens. The festivities included an official welcome by the Mayor, a torchlight procession, and speeches congratulatory of the Australian navy movement. The Australian Natives' Association presented, each destroyer with a kangaroo as a pet. and the Boy Scouts presented a flag.
