DUXEDIN SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Thursday. Robert Searle, convicted of rape on 3 married woman at Waipori, was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. Brown, who pleaded guilty of embezzlement of the funds of the Bruce County Council, of which he was assistant cleik, receiyed six months' imprisonment. '•RANGI" WILSON ACQUITTED. Wellington, Thursday. In the football assault casg yesterday Wilson was found not guilty. A DOUBLE DIVORCE. Wellington, Thursday. The departure from New Zealand of Frank Dunstone with his brother-in-law's wife was the basis of two undefended petitions for dissolution of marriage heard by his Honor, the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, to-day. In the first petition, Henrietta Dunstone, nurse, was the petitioner and Frank Dunstone respondent, the latter being unrepresented. Adultery was the ground of the suit. The parties were married in Wellington on March 4, 1891, the evidence of petitioner showing that their relations were always happy. In 1908 respondent left Newman, where he had been living, to take up a position in Whangarei. In July, 1909, he wrote to his wife stating that he was returning to her, but instead of so doing, he had gone to Australia, since when his whereabouts had not been discovered. . Respondent had gone away with the wife of petitioner's brother. A decree nisi was granted, with costs on the lowest scale, petitioner to have the custody of . three children, the issue of the marriage. ' Arising out of the above action, Frank Forster, railway employee, Picton, brother of the first petitioner, asked for a . dissolution of his marriage with Eva '. Elizabeth Forster, on the ground of adultery, Frank Dunstone being joined as corespondent. A decree nisi was granted, with costs against the co-respondent. In the Divorce Court Marion Welden was granted a decree nisi against Eustace Vivian Walden on the grounds of drunkenness, cruelty and desertion. The '■ parties were married at Launcesten in 1897, and there were two children. They " arrived in the Waikato two years ago, where respondent bought a farm with her money. She had £2OOO, but he ' spent all but £l5O. They afterwards liv- , ed in Auckland, Tasmania and Melbourne. \ Respondent was of drunken habits and .J also cruel.
