AUCKLAND SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day William Smith was found guilty of stealing a watch and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. Two residents of Waihi, Thomas Barraclough and Henry McQuane, were charged with committing perjury at the Magistrate's Court, Pae10a, on September 22. The jury returned a verdict of guilty and both accused were remanded till next morning.

The jury was absent from the Court for a quarter of an hour. Accused was then formally charged on three other similar indictments, and he pleaded not guilty. The Crown offered no evidence, and accused was found) jiot guilty. Robert Searle was charged with criminally assaulting a married woman at Waipori, the case for the Crown c!osini; when the Court adjourned.
