TOTAL .SOLAR ECLIPSE. By Telegrapn.—±*rcss Association. Auckland, Last Night. A total eclipse of the sun will take place on April 28 next. So far as this hemisphere is concerned, it will be visible from the south-east of Australia (Tw.ofold Bay), between the North Cape of New Zealand and Caledonia, from near Norfolk Island, through Tonga to the north of the Equatqr, in longitude 154 "West, and thereafter to Central America. Mr. Clement Wragge, who returned from Sydney by the Maheno to-day, intends to observe and photograph the eclipse from Tonga. He informed a Herald representative that the duration of the total eclipse will be 3 minutes 45 seconds in Tonga, and should be a magnificent sight.
