RIOTOUS BLUEJACKETS
MIDNIGHT RIOT IN A CAFE.

Two liundred riotous American bluejackets fought their way into the C'afe de Paris, Cherbourg, at midnight, and insisted on being served with drinks. A French patrol ordered them to leave and the bluejackets retorted by disarming the commanding officer.of the patrol, and cleared the Cafe with fixed bayonets. The windows were smashed and revolvers fired.
An American sailor was stabbed in a quarrel with a Frenchman, and the bodv thrown into the dock. The bluejackets were also angered because many were robbed.
