STRATFORD DAY BY DAY
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) . Mr. J. L. Robinson, 8.A., son of Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Robinson, is on a visit to Stratford. ,' The horse attached to a trap belonging to Mr. B. Harkness, becoming frightened this morning, bolted. Mr. Lennon's dray was standing in front of Mr. Leydon's factory in Juliet-street. On Hearing this the runaway, instead of swerving off, tried to jump the obstacle, and came into collision with the dray. Mr. Lennon's horse received a nasty wound in one of its hind legs, and Mr. Lennon, who was trying to get his horse out of the way, was knocked down and received several abrasions.
Local secured several prizes at the Wanganui Show. Entries are coming in freely for the local A. and P. Association's Show.
