STRATFORD A. AND P. SHOW
Entries for the Stratford A. and P. Show promise to be very numerous in all classes. To date the entries have been coming in very freely, the butter exhibit classes, which closed yesterday, being well filled. The butter-fat competition, entries for which close on thii 19th hist., give indication of putting up a record in Taranaki for entries in thi* class of competition. Wool-classing by farmers will be a feature of the Show. This event will take place in the produce pavilion and every preparation will he made to have this very important competition properly.carried out. Exhibitors will have numerous special prizes to wm, close on £3OO having been donated by the townspeople of Stratford to the special prize fund. The showgrounds afl» now looking beautiful with the wealth of shelter trees and grass. The oval in which all the events will take place is as level as a bililard-table. The large grandstand, luncheon room, secretary's office, publican's booth, catering room and produce pavilion are. now nearing completion. All the necessary pens will be completed in good time for the' show. Special train arrangements at excursion rates have been provided for, and all that remains to make the show a thorough success is to be favored with fine weather on the show dates, December 7 and 8.
