ON A NEW ZEALAND INSTRUMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 16, 9.45 p.m. London, November 16. The world's record in telegraphy by a single operator was made between London and Manchester. The operator maintained a speed of sixty words a minute in the presence of postal and cable officials. He was using a Gill transmitter, a New Zealand invention.
