The market is quiet but rather steadier: lower prices encouraged much better demand for the ben qualitv, but there is no demand for poorer grade-i. The Turakina's shipment arrived in good condition. Choicest New Zealand butter 110s, Australian lCils, Danish 115s, Siberian 103s. Cheese—The market is quiet but firm. The demand is improving, but prices are unchanged. Canadian 575. Hemp. —The market is dull and dependent on Manila reports. New Zealand cood fair on spot £24, fair grade £2l, Manila £2O. Forward shipment New Zealand, good fair £23 10s. fair £29 10s, Manila £2O. The output from ■Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. The stock of New Zealand hemp is 243 tons. Cocksfoot Sees!.—The market is quiet. Stocks have been much augmented by the recent arrivals from Xew Zealand. Zealand bright clean seed, weighing 171b per bushel, 70s.
