There is also one of the strongest preference clauses yet conceded by the employers, which makes membership of the union practically compulsory. PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY. Auckland, Last Night.
. In the evening several reports were adopted, including the reports of the Financial Committee, the new Century Fund, and the Theological College Trustees. On the recommendation of the Finance iCJommittee, the salary of the treasurer was raised from £4OO to £SOO. The women's missionary meeting was held in the afternoon and was largely attended.
